St Thomas' Primary Reaches the Euroquiz 2024 Finals

The motion

That the Parliament congratulates St Thomas' Primary School, in Wishaw, on reaching the Euroquiz 2024 finals; understands that the final will be on 10 June 2024 in the McEwan Hall, Edinburgh, with P6 pupils spanning 30 local authorities coming together to share learning and collaboration to broaden their knowledge of Europe and the wider world; further understands that topics include languages, history, geography, culture and European affairs; notes that the Euroquiz is co-organised by SCILT, Scotland's National Centre for Languages, which supported a wealth of language learning and diversity across Scotland’s schools and communities; welcomes what it sees as the educational benefits and the ability to aid young people on their way to meeting the principal aims of the Curriculum for Excellence, and wishes the pupils at St Thomas' all the best in the finals.
