Congratulating Pilmeny Development Project on its 45th Anniversary
The motion
That the Parliament congratulates Pilmeny Development Project on 45 years of working to improve the lives of residents across all generations in Leith; understands that it has created a respected organisation that many people trust, by collaborating with local groups and organisations to tackle inequality, and by listening to and amplifying the voices of those who are often less heard; further understands that Pilmeny Development Project provided help and support to over 3,500 residents in 2023-24, including socially isolated older people, young people, families and carers; commends Pilmeny Development Project and its volunteers for committing to over four decades of work to positively impact the community, and wishes them well for the future.
