Glasgow-based Nurses Win Scotland Nurse of the Year Awards 2024
The motion
That the Parliament congratulates Glasgow-based nurses on winning awards in the Royal College of Nursing (RCN) Scotland Nurse of the Year Awards 2024; understands that John McDonald, senior addiction nurse, received the Adult Nurse of the Year Award for his significant contribution to improving and expanding addiction services, and his positive influence on clients' lives, and further understands that the NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde Police Custody Healthcare Team, based in Govan Police Station, was awarded Nursing Team of the Year for its contribution to reducing mental health inequalities and promotion of mental health support within the criminal justice system.
