Congratulating Dumbarton FC on its Promotion to Scottish Football League One

The motion

That the Parliament congratulates Dumbarton FC, its manager Stevie Farrell, Frank McKeown and all the backroom staff and committed volunteers on their dedication and hard work to ensure a well-deserved promotion in the 2023-24 season; believes that the team achieved this success in such a close and competitive season by showing its strength, commitment and resilience, especially in the recent play-offs; considers that it could not have achieved this success without the amazing support from its dedicated and loyal fans, who travel all over the country to support their club and cheer on the team; wishes Dumbarton FC the best of luck for the new season, and believes that the team will continue to make its fans and the wider community proud of all that it will achieve.
