Congratulating Glasgow Secondary Schools in Sportscotland Awards 2024

The motion

That the Parliament congratulates Glasgow schools on receiving Gold School Awards in sportscotland’s School Sport Awards 2024; understands that St Paul’s High School, in Pollock, and Smithycroft Secondary School, in Riddrie, both received Gold School Sport Awards in recognition of the schools' achievements in putting sport at the heart of their practice and ethos; further understands that St Paul’s High School and Smithycroft Secondary School have demonstrated on-going commitment to increase young people’s opportunities and engagement in physical education, school sport and leadership; believes that these schools have provided essential pathways to life-long participation in sport, and wishes both schools every success in the future of their sporting endeavours.
