Aberdeen Airport Runway Run Raises £50,000 for Local Charities

The motion

That the Parliament acknowledges that Aberdeen International Airport’s Runway Run took place on 22 June 2024, with nearly 400 runners participating in this year’s event; notes that the event was organised in partnership between CHC Helicopters and the airport; understands that participants ran four kilometres on the runway at the Dyce Terminal; further understands that the event raised £50,000 for local charities, AberNecessities and Forget Me Not Club; notes that 2024 marks the fifth time that the event has been held, and commends the efforts of all those who participated in the run and those who organised the event.
