East Kilbride Old Parish Church

The motion

That the Parliament acknowledges the 250th anniversary of East Kilbride Old Parish Church; understands that there will be a host of events planned to mark the sestercentennial, offering the congregation and the community the opportunity to celebrate the history and heritage of the church; further understands that a diverse range of events will run throughout the year and will include an organ recital, a brass band concert, historical displays and routs, choral singing and a hymns and Pimm's evening; recognises the church’s commitment to the community and dedication to honouring its 250-year history; thanks those involved in the event programme, and wishes them every success at the 250-year anniversary.
