Forth Ports Nominated in National Industry Awards
The motion
That the Parliament congratulates Forth Ports on being shortlisted in the Scottish Green Energy Supply Chain Awards, in the category Green Business Growth; understands that the Scottish Green Energy Supply Chain Awards are organised by trade body, Scottish Renewables, to celebrate the people, businesses and organisations at the heart of industry who make possible the deployment of multi-billion-pound renewable energy projects; notes that Forth Ports, based in Edinburgh, was established in 1967 as a port authority and has now grown to be the third largest port operator group in the UK; understands that the business has adapted its services to accommodate what it sees as the growing need to support sustainable infrastructure projects and help shape the future of Scottish industry to promote more sustainable supply chains across the UK; believes that being shortlisted for this award is a testament to the hard work of not just the business as a whole, but also of the individuals employed by the organisation, and their commitment to promote sustainable energy and other green projects, and wishes the organisation and everyone involved all the best in the future.
