Inverkeithing Children's Gala 2024

The motion

That the Parliament notes the success of the 2024 Inverkeithing Gala, which was held on 22 June 2024; acknowledges that the family day out had lots to see and do, with various stalls and performances, including fairground rides for both adults and children; understands that this is an annual event in the calendars of families from Inverkeithing and beyond, with much excitement leading up to the event on the day; believes that events like these are only possible due to the local fundraising efforts of individuals, groups, and businesses; understands that the event costs between £14,000 and £15,000 per year to hold, with all Inverkeithing children receiving free wristbands for the day; thanks all volunteers for the hard work and effort that has gone into organising the gala over the year; believes that events like this would not be possible without volunteers, and thanks them for this; wishes the team all the very best in its preparations for 2025, and encourages local people to volunteer for next year to see the successful event return.
