Gourock Schools Tackling Racism
The motion
That the Parliament congratulates primary and secondary schools from Gourock for collaborating with local churches to learn how to tackle prejudice and discrimination; understands that pupils have made anti-racism artwork, which were displayed at Gourock train station; further understands that pupils worked with local band, The Laurettes, by singing the lyrics of Hand In Hand to promote anti-racism, and applauds the teachers and clergy of Gourock for bringing the pupils together to learn what it sees as the importance of being anti-racist, and their efforts to engage the wider community on this issue.
