The motion

That the Parliament welcomes the news that over £1,000 has been raised toward what it considers to be vital services supporting people with sensory loss around the Forth Valley; understands that Forth Valley Sensory Centre recently hosted its Summer Garden Party in 2024 to celebrate its work within the community, whilst actively raising £1,351.51, which will go toward the running of events, activities and support services for people in Clackmannanshire, Stirling and Falkirk who are living with loss or partial loss of senses, such as sight and/or hearing; acknowledges that a range of information stalls from partner organisations were also in attendance; considers that the good cause has been supporting people with sensory loss and their families for more than 15 years, and that the initial aim was to raise £750 from this event, so more than double was realised by the end; wishes the centre all the very best with the preparations for its annual Winter Fayre, which is planned for 29 November 2024, and commends everyone involved for what it sees as their sterling endeavours in this regard.
