ACS Clothing Ltd Shortlisted for VIBES Scottish Environment Business Awards 2024
The motion
That the Parliament congratulates Lanarkshire-based ACS Clothing Ltd, Europe's largest circular fulfilment fashion hub, on being shortlisted as a finalist for the 25th SEPA-led VIBES Scottish Environment Business Awards in the Circular Scotland category; applauds the B-Corp accredited pioneer in re-use and resale for its environmental innovation; believes that this nomination reflects its commitment to circular economy principles, business sustainability, reducing resource use, and driving progress towards net zero by retaining high-quality clothing in use for as long as possible; considers that, in addition to revolutionising the global fashion industry, ACS Clothing has positively impacted lives by revamping its employability strategy so that 15% of its workforce now comprises of disabled people; believes that it is ambitiously advancing gender equality through the UN Global Compact Target Gender Equality Accelerator, showcasing its commitment to prioritising people and the planet across its business; eagerly anticipates the announcement of the VIBES winners at the awards ceremony on 12 November 2024 at the Radisson Blu in Glasgow, and extends its best wishes to ACS Clothing for continued success in all its future endeavours.
