Dunnikier Country Park Development Group Achieves Funding Target

The motion

That the Parliament congratulates Dunnikier Country Park Development Group on achieving its funding goal thanks to a donation from a local gym; commends Templehall Gym’s committee and members who, it understands, became aware of the shortfall and offered a donation of £2,500 towards the community project; understands that the group has been edging closer to its goal since it reached £200,000 in September 2023, but after funding from a contributor fell through earlier in 2024, there were fears that the project could grind to a halt; applauds Templehall Gym for its donation as this final piece of funding will now release the full funding package, allowing the park to go ahead as planned this year, and wishes both Templehall Gym and Dunnikier Country Park Development Group the very best for the future.
