Grangemouth Hairdresser’s Decade of Generosity Recognised

The motion

That the Parliament congratulates Jill Lauder of Lady J Hair in Grangemouth, on being awarded the British Empire Medal in recognition of her initiative, the Feel Good Project; understands that the Project got up and running in 2014 with the support of her friend and Macmillan Cancer Support nurse, Sandra Campbell, to offer free pamper services to women who have been diagnosed with cancer; understands that the award of the British Empire Medal follows Jill being named Macmillan’s Volunteer of the Year in 2012, as well as winning the Scotswoman of the Year award in 2019; welcomes the generosity of spirit shown by Jill in demonstrating kindness and compassion for individuals going through an extremely difficult period, and wishes Jill and everyone involved in the Feel Good Project all the best in the future.
