Susi McLarty, from Huntly, Awarded a Clean Up Scotland Hero Award for Litter Picking

The motion

That the Parliament congratulates Susi McLarty, from Huntly, who was awarded a Clean Up Scotland Hero award for litter picking; understands that the award from the charity Keep Scotland Beautiful was in recognition of Susi’s efforts to reverse what it considers to be the country’s litter emergency; notes that Susi has actively been encouraging people through social media to get involved in litter picks, and that she received a micro grant to purchase litter picking equipment, which she distributed throughout the community and which is being used throughout the summer holidays as part of litter picks for children, encouraging them to look after their environment; commends Susi for what it sees as her enduring determination and for being a great role model in her community, and wishes her all the best for the future in keeping her local environment litter-free.
