Aberdeen’s No to Hate, Yes to Community Event
The motion
That the Parliament commends the organisers of the No to Hate, Yes to Community event that took place at Aberdeen’s Castlegate on 11 August 2024; applauds the many Aberdonians who, it believes, peacefully came together to show that there is no place for racism or religious intolerance in the city; considers that, for centuries, Aberdeen has been an international trading city, a world-renowned university town, and has welcomed people from across the globe, and hopes that this ethos continues for the centuries to come.
