Wishaw YMCA National Lottery Award
The motion
That the Parliament congratulates Wishaw YMCA on receiving £20,000 from the National Lottery; understands that the grant will allow the YMCA to run the Esports Academy for free and increase the number of days that the academy runs from two to five nights per week; further understands that the grant will allow young people the chance to play games, empower them on internet safety and inform them on how to stay safe online; considers that esports is the fastest growing global trend, which brings together over 600 million people from around the globe; believes that the global market is expected to generate more than £1 billion annually, and wishes everyone involved all the best for the future.
