Motherwell Phoenix 2014 Fundraiser

The motion

That the Parliament commends the Motherwell Phoenix 2014 football squad for its fundraising festival of football; understands that the squad raised over £1,000 for the Wishaw-based children’s charity, Les Hoey MBE DreamMaker Foundation, and collected provisions for the Food for Thought project based in Motherwell; further understands that the funds will contribute to supporting children with life-shortening illnesses, and making dreams come true, as well as providing essential food parcels for those in need within the community; recognises the ongoing work carried out by the Les Hoey MBE DreamMaker Foundation and Food for Thought, and thanks Robbie McKillip and Motherwell Phoenix 2014 players, coaches, parents and carers for their dedication and selfless act of kindness.
