Bankie Dad Dared to Create Non-alcoholic Beverage That Becomes Global Hit
The motion
That the Parliament recognises Spirits of Virtue, created by brothers Roddy Nicoll and Kerr Nicoll, and its international success; understands that the Clydebank-based company sells its low-calorie, gluten-free, halal approved non-alcoholic drinks to over 26 countries, with offices in Santa Monica, Prague and Dubai; further understands that, since the business began five years ago, it has won five previous Great Taste Awards, with the latest recognition of the Glen Dochus Island Blend receiving a prestigious two star award; celebrates the innovation of the company, which was created after a conversation with Roddy’s son, who dared his dad to make a drink without alcohol, and hopes that the business continues to grow and expand from Clydebank to the world.
