The motion

That the Parliament congratulates Methil-based company, Nakey Bakey, and its founder, Megan Murrie, on being awarded a star rating in the Great Taste 2024 Awards for its mixed berry granola; understands that the Fife business specialises in healthy, free-from granola-based products and was launched by Megan from her kitchen at home after being inspired by her own experience with a nut allergy and having endometriosis; notes that the Great Taste Awards, organised by the Guild of Fine Food, are recognised in the industry as a trusted food and drink accreditation scheme, with products undergoing blind taste tests to ensure impartiality; further notes that 2024's judging involved more than 500 experts over 92 days, with products submitted from 115 countries, and pays credit to Megan for her commitment and drive to build a successful business, which is now the proud owner of a prestigious star rating.
