Kirkcaldy Bar Celebrates 100 Years

The motion

That the Parliament congratulates the Harbour Bar in Kirkcaldy on celebrating its tercentenary; understands that it is Kirkcaldy’s only dedicated real ale pub and has been operating since 1924; further understands that it has a long history, that it was previously a ship chandler and dates to around 1870; acknowledges that the bar received a full refurbishment two years ago after John Stanley took over the pub following the death in 2021 of long-standing and much-loved owner, Nick Bromfield; notes that since the refurbishment, the pub has hosted music nights and become a meeting place for community groups; further notes that the celebrations include live music from local artists, and wishes the pub every success for the future.
