Funding in Aberdeenshire West from the National Lottery Community Fund

The motion

That the Parliament congratulates the following groups from Aberdeenshire West, Disabled Persons Housing Service (Aberdeenshire) Ltd and Silver Circle SCIO, which secured funding from the National Lottery Community Fund; understands that Disabled Persons Housing Service (Aberdeenshire) Ltd received a £10,000 grant, which it will use to fund a one-year project to provide advisor hours to support people with disabilities in bidding for a social housing property that is best suited to their needs; notes that Silver Circle SCIO received a grant for £20,000, which will enable it to continue to support day-care provision, a weekly supermarket shopping trip and transport to medical appointments for around 60 older people living between Corgaff and Lumsden in rural Aberdeenshire over the next two years; congratulates both groups on their grants, and wishes them every success with their endeavours over the coming years.
