Three Campbeltown Firefighters Receive Royal Recognition for 20 Years of Service

The motion

That the Parliament congratulates Campbeltown firefighters Stuart McTaggart, Stevie Gorman, and Grant Macpherson on receiving Fire and Rescue Service Long Service and Good Conduct medals; understands that the medals are awarded for 20 years of good and efficient service, and that they are issued by the Head of State and produced by the Royal Mint; recognises that Stuart achieved his 20 years of service in April 2022, and therefore received a medal bearing the effigy of the late Queen Elizabeth II, while Stevie and Grant achieved their 20 years of service in October 2023, and therefore are among the first people to receive medals bearing the effigy of King Charles III; notes what it sees as the rarity of one fire station accounting for three long service medals, and recognises the commitment of Stuart, Stevie, Grant, and everyone involved at Campbeltown Fire Station, and their invaluable service to the community.
