Recognising the Work of Health All Round

The motion

That the Parliament recognises the work of Health All Round to improve the health and wellbeing of people living within South West and South Central Edinburgh; believes that health inequalities exist across Scotland; appreciates the work Health All Round does to decrease health inequalities through free and low-cost services and by encouraging participation in the planning process; understands that Health All Round seeks to address the broader determinants of health and wellbeing by providing a range of services to meet the physical, emotional and social needs of the community; commends the community work Health All Round does to empower people to participate in the community and local resource planning process, build resilience and long-term symptoms maintenance skills; notes in particular, Health All Round's focus on greenspace and outdoor activities for increasing wellbeing; appreciates the partnership work Health All Round does with a range of stakeholders, including GPs and working with the wider community via local forums to avoid duplication of services, manage resources effectively and address local needs; notes Health All Round's work to encourage a social model of health, and wishes Health All Round the best for the future.
