AllARMED Awarded Scottish EDGE Funding
The motion
That the Parliament recognises Kim Burgess for her developing business, AllARMED, which offers an exciting, novel personal protection approach for anyone who may feel vulnerable in public; acknowledges innovative approaches such as AllARMED, with what it understands to be a highly visible deterrent that has the potential to revolutionise personal safety and ensure that the most vulnerable groups in society feel safe and confident; understands that Scottish EDGE awarded an amount of £10,000 for Kim to develop a prototype device; further understands that Scottish EDGE has made 635 awards totalling £26.5million to Scottish businesses since its conception; celebrates this annual competition, which supports up-and-coming, innovative, high-growth potential, entrepreneurial talent, and wishes Kim and AllARMED well for its launch.
