Aberdeen YMCA

The motion

That the Parliament congratulates Aberdeen YMCA on receiving a grant of £4,290 from the National Lottery Community Fund; understands that this grant will go towards supporting the continuation of the group's weekly "warm space" initiative, as well as adding an additional morning over the next 12 months; notes that the "warm space" cafe, which has been operational since September 2023, gives young people an opportunity to meet in the community, keep warm and get support during colder months, while being provided with free hot drinks and food; believes that this kind of initiative is particularly important in supporting families during the cost of living crisis, and wishes the organisers well in supporting those who use the service over the coming months.
