Mike Melvin Receives the First Ever Denis Law RGUplus Honorary Award

The motion

That the Parliament congratulates Mike Melvin on receiving the first ever Denis Law RGUplus honorary award for his services to the cause of volunteering in Aberdeen city; notes that the Denis Law RGUplus awards aim to recognise the value of individuals who support their community through various means of volunteering; appreciates that Mike has supported volunteering in Aberdeen for over 38 years, working with ACVO as its Volunteering Services Manager and volunteering with a range of organisations across the city’s third sector, including Cornerhouse, Station House Media Unit, Health Services Research Unite and community groups; pays tribute to Mike for the enormous contribution that he has made, and thanks him for his continuing volunteering.
