Acts of Kindness
The motion
That the Parliament congratulates Carol McGinn and the Horseshoe Bar in Motherwell on their successful fundraising events, raising over £1,500 for Chasing the Stigma, a mental health charity; understands that Carol has spearheaded a series of fundraising efforts that have raised significant sums for various charities, including Parksprings Care Home and Guide Dogs; further understands that Carol has a monthly collection for the local food bank, along with seasonal collections at Easter and Christmas, and is currently fundraising for Guide Dogs, inspired by the experience of a partially blind customer who faced difficulties obtaining a new guide dog after the loss of his previous one; commends Carol, the staff and customers of the Horseshoe Bar for their selfless acts of kindness, and wishes them all the best for the future.
