Glasgow Family Restaurant is Winner at Asian Restaurant Awards 2024

The motion

That the Parliament congratulates Desi Dhaba Chaiwala of Glasgow on winning the Family Restaurant of the Year Award at the Asian Restaurant Awards 2024, in conjunction with the Asian Catering Federation, which were held at the Scottish Parliament on 4 September 2024; notes that the restaurant opened in 2022 as a family business; understands that the owner, Mohammed Sharif, has been in the industry for the last three decades and is now supported by his family, who assist in managing the venue; recognises the success of the restaurant, which started life as a small snack bar and now accommodates 80 diners in purpose-built premises, and wishes the team every success for the future.
