Glasgow Gift Shop, Sunshine No. 1, Recognised as One of the UK's Most Exciting Firms

The motion

That the Parliament congratulates Sunshine No.1, which is located in the Mount Florida area of Glasgow, on being named as one of the nation’s 100 most impressive small firms by the Small Business Saturday UK campaign, as it kicks off a wider call to encourage public support for small businesses; acknowledges that Sunshine No.1, founded by Suzi Nicol in 2015, is an art and gift shop that sells products exclusively made by small business artists and makers who live in Scotland, and recognises that, after a nationwide search, the Glasgow firm has been selected as part of this year’s SmallBiz100 line-up, which showcases 100 of the most impressive independent businesses from across the nation as part of the countdown to Small Business Saturday on 7 December 2024.
