Grangemouth Old People’s Welfare Secures £20,000 Funding Boost

The motion

That the Parliament congratulates the Grangemouth Old People’s Welfare organisation on securing £20,000 of funding from the Bank of Scotland Foundation’s Energise programme; notes that the charity, based in Talbot House, is run by volunteers to support the welfare and wellbeing of older members of the community by providing a range of activities to tackle social isolation and loneliness; understands that the funding committed by the Bank of Scotland Foundation will support the charity to overcome challenges presented by the increased cost of living and cater to growing demand for their services; recognises what it considers to be the important work of charitable organisations like Grangemouth Old People’s Welfare in contributing to the care of Scotland's older people, while helping them to overcome social challenges such as loneliness and isolation; thanks everyone involved for their continued efforts, and wishes them all the best in the future.
