Quarriers Dunn Street Raises £1,245 at Annual Open Day

The motion

That the Parliament congratulates Quarriers Dunn Street Short Breaks / Respite Service in Duntocher on raising £1,245 at its annual open day; understands that the families of those who use the service, local residents and other invited guests came together for a day of fundraising and activities; further understands that the money raised goes directly back into the service and will pay to take as many residents as possible to see pantomimes over the festive season; notes that the money will also help fund its community garden, where residents can grow their own fruit and vegetables, which are then used in the kitchen to prepare meals, and wishes the staff of 22 all the best for 2025's event, as they continue to provide person-centred support, taking into account each resident’s likes and wishes and making their stay fun and sociable, full of outings and new activities.
