Welcoming that The Place has Secured a Long-term Lease of The Field in Alness for an Annual Fee of £1

The motion

That the Parliament welcomes the announcement that The Place Youth Club has secured a long-term lease of The Field in Alness, following the approval of a community asset transfer request for the land earlier in September 2024; recognises that The Place has done a significant amount of work in transforming The Field, which lay unused for 35 years prior to the group taking it over in 2020 and creating a community space; notes what it sees as the importance of The Place in supporting young people in Alness, and understands how significant it is for the rental fee to be reduced to just £1 a year, which will allow the group to continue supporting the local community.
