Congratulating Scott Richards and East End Walk and Talk for Encouraging Recovery in Glasgow

The motion

That the Parliament congratulates Scott Richards on the commendable work he carries out through his recovery group, East End Walk and Talk; understands that the group was inspired by Scott’s own recovery journey and the stories of addiction and mental health challenges that he encountered during his time as a taxi driver; considers that the group provides a valuable opportunity for individuals affected by drug or alcohol addiction to engage in supportive activities such as walking, talking and cold-water dips, and believes that this initiative plays a significant role in encouraging open discussions around addiction and promoting recovery.
