Shawlands Restaurant Wins Best South Asian Takeaway Award

The motion

That the Parliament congratulates Himalayan Dine, on Kilmarnock Road, Shawlands, for winning the Best South Asian Takeaway West award at the Spice Awards 2024; notes that the Spice Awards, known as Scotland's "Curry Oscars", took place on 9 September at Doubletree by Hilton in Glasgow city centre; understands that the winners were selected out of restaurants from across the country; believes that the awards, which are held annually, help to raise the profile of Asian cuisine in Scotland and are highly respected in the industry, and wishes the owners and staff at Himalayan Dine all the best for the future.
