Polmont Planters Sweeps Beautiful Scotland Awards 2024

The motion

That the Parliament recognises the success of the Polmont Planters at the Beautiful Scotland Awards 2024; understands that the group was awarded the Urban Community Award, as well as receiving a Highly Commended Certificate in the David Welch Memorial Award for work in its Heritage Garden, and a Silver Gilt Certificate; notes that the group was started with the aim of bringing the community together around a common goal of looking after its village, and understands that it has since flourished to a team of keen volunteers who are active throughout the year; understands that the Beautiful Scotland Awards are organised by the environmental charity Keep Scotland Beautiful to celebrate the achievements of individuals and groups in enhancing their local areas; congratulates the Polmont Planters on its achievements, and wishes it well in its future endeavours.
