Congratulating Steven MacIver on Winning the MacRobert Art Award

The motion

That the Parliament congratulates Orcadian artist, Steven MacIver, on winning the prestigious 2024 Royal Scottish Academy (RSA) MacRobert Art Award for Painting; understands that the £20,000 prize will support a 12-month research and development period for a new body of work to be exhibited at the RSA; recognises Steven’s artistic achievements, which, it considers, reflect Scotland’s natural and cultural heritage, and wishes him continued success in his creative endeavours.
