Great Western Community Centre CommCon Event
The motion
That the Parliament welcomes the CommCon Event at Great Western Community Centre in Aberdeen on 29 September 2024; notes that the event, which is completely free and is being held in collaboration with Sport Aberdeen and the printmaking workshop, Peacock, will celebrate the work being done by charities and community groups in Aberdeen; understands that the event will feature games and activities with Sport Aberdeen, screen-printing and badge-making workshops with Peacock, a drawing workshop with local illustrator, Mandy Sutherland, fun photo opportunities with the Scottish Imperial Garrison, therapeutic owls provided by Bob's Buddies, and free treats from local award-winning baker, Jo Scrumptious; notes that there will be an array of local stalls selling crafts and gifts; hopes that CommCon will become a regular fixture in the Aberdeen calendar, and wishes the organisers and all those taking part all the very best in what promises to be a fun, informative and exciting event.
