Clydebank and Milngavie Constituency Groups Awarded Over £200,000 in National Lottery Community Funding

The motion

That the Parliament recognises and congratulates eight organisations from across theClydebank and Milngavie constituency on being awarded a total of £216,143 fromthe National Lottery Community Fund; understands that the Bearsden &Milngavie Highland Games Association received a £5,000 grant, which will helpit in continuing its work; notes that Breastfeeding Support Scotland received£5,525 to provide face-to-face breastfeeding support groups in Glasgow, South Lanarkshireand East Dunbartonshire; recognises that Golden Friendships was awarded a£19,500 grant that will help provide people with a series of community meals,events and trips; understands that the Mini Messy Monsters playgroup wasawarded £10,000 to purchase accessible/sensory toys and to hold parties for thechildren who attend it; notes that the Kilmardinny Community Garden Projectreceived £10,000 to purchase equipment to support its volunteer-led communitygardening sessions for various age groups; acknowledges that the Recycle Roomreceived a £20,000 grant to continue its recycle service that provides goods tothe community; understands ISARO Community Initiative received £66,118 tocontinue its multi-faceted project supporting ethnic minority communities indealing with the cost of living crisis; acknowledges that Trauma InformedParenting received a £80,000 grant that will be used to provide free workshopsthat aim to improve the lives of families with children who have experiencedtrauma, adverse childhood experiences or have additional needs, andcongratulates all of the staff and volunteers associated with these groups fortheir work towards what it sees as these vital grants being awarded and forworking tirelessly to make their community a better place.
