Karate Duo Olivia Cuthbertson and Louise Smith Represent Scotland at Junior World Championships

The motion

That the Parliament congratulates two members of Clydebank Kokusai Karate Club, Olivia Cuthbertson and Louise Smith, on being selected to compete in the Junior World Championships, which are scheduled to take place in Italy in October 2024; notes that Louise has been practising karate since age six and is the current under-21 Scottish Champion and that she is also a three-time Scottish Champion, a two-time British medallist and a Copenhagen International Open Vice Champion; understands that Olivia has been involved in the sport since she was four and is the current Cadet Scottish Champion, a three-time Scottish Champion, a British Champion, a Vice British Champion, a British International Champion, a two-time Irish International Champion, a Swedish International Champion and a Dutch International Vice Champion; recognises both young women’s outstanding accomplishments achieved at such a young age, and wishes Olivia and Louise all the best for the upcoming Junior World Championships.
