Nitshill Football Club Looking Out for the Community

The motion

That the Parliament congratulates Whitacres Wolves youth football club, in Nitshill, which is offering affordable sessions to more than 200 kids in the local area; notes that Whitacres Wolves started in 2016, and that it is now a registered charity helping kids, parents and the local community; understands that the club gives young people a place to play football at a lower price or covers the bills for some parents who cannot afford it; further understands that local fish and chip shop, Remo’s, has also helped the club to keep prices down by offering sponsorship for the team’s kits, and understands that the club has also spent time reaching out to the community by helping foodbanks and raising money for men’s health, and that it hopes to expand the help that it gives by incorporating free meals into its Friday night football sessions.
