Congratulating Beatrix Elsberger on Receiving the Hunter Doig Medal

The motion

That the Parliament congratulates NHS Grampian consultant breast surgeon, Beatrix Elsberger, on being awarded the prestigious Hunter Doig Medal 2024 by the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh; acknowledges her outstanding contributions to surgical practice, education and breast cancer research; commends her leadership of the clinical breast cancer research team at Aberdeen Royal Infirmary, which received the CREST Award, and celebrates her role as an inspiration to young female surgeons and her lasting impact on patient outcomes and future generations of researchers.
