Murray’s Match at Forthbank Stadium

The motion

That the Parliament commends all those involved in organising Murray’s Match, which will take place at Forthbank Stadium on 29 September 2024; understands that this charity football match, celebrating and honouring the life of Dunblane teenager, Murray Dowey, is raising money for three charities, the Scott Martin Foundation, Back Onside and the Stirling Albion Foundation; recognises that a wish to prioritise mental health support for young people, raise awareness of the dangers of social media and sextortion as well as promoting suicide prevention, is at the heart of this event; understands that the teams will be made up of Murray’s friends, family and teachers, and joined by Scottish International rugby players as well as professional footballers, and hopes that the event is a great success.
