Milngavie FC Wins Diversity in Sport Award

The motion

That the Parliament congratulates Milngavie Football Club on winning the Diversity in Sport award during the finals of The Herald and GenAnalytics Diversity Awards; understands that the judges were impressed with the range of inclusion initiatives demonstrated by the club, which include greater equality between age groups, opportunities for disabled community members, and access to mental health support; considers that the award is an indication of the hard work and commitment of everyone who helps out at what, it understands, is the largest community-run football club in Scotland, and believes that the club should be proud of its achievement as it strives to create a sense of togetherness throughout the community and to provide a club that the people of Milngavie can be proud of.
