Commending the Work of Lanarkshire’s Volunteer Pet Scanners
The motion
That the Parliament praises the efforts of the Lanarkshire Trap and Scan Crew, whose volunteers include a constituent of the Rutherglen constituency, Karen Fallon from Blantyre, and which aims to reunite lost pets with their owners; notes that the volunteers offer to scan found pets, as well as offering practical advice and physical support with various pieces of equipment, such as cameras, thermal imaging equipment and infrared torches required to help search for, find and reunite lost pets; further notes that the group liaises with local authorities’ roads departments in order to attend after accidents, allowing owners closure and reassurance that their pet has been treated with care and dignity at the end of their life, and commends the group’s ongoing efforts to provide this much-valued source of support and advice to Lanarkshire’s pet owners.
