Recognising Falkirk High Schools' Climate Summit Success
The motion
That the Parliament congratulates Braes High School and Falkirk High School on their success in leading the student-led Climate Summit 2024; understands that the pupils from the two high schools organised the event, including designing the structure and inviting guest speakers and workshop facilitators, which included representatives from a number of organisations; notes that the event was designed with similar objectives to the global COP summits, giving students the chance to share their ideas and create a roadmap for meaningful change; commends the pupils for their hard work in organising the Climate Summit, and congratulates everyone involved on the event’s success.
