The motion

That the Parliament congratulates the Community Wellbeing Hub in Carrick on receiving £10,000 from Asda's charity, the Asda Foundation; understands that the Community Wellbeing Hub will receive £10,000 to create a new space for young people struggling with mental health, and that the organisation provides high quality holistic treatment sessions, workshops and classes to individuals and families within the Carrick area who are struggling with stress, anxiety or depression, or who live with a chronic long-term health condition, and who would normally be unable to access these services due to financial constraints; notes that the funding will enable the group to change its current children's room into a craft area and allow the Hub to offer teen and parent workshops to young people struggling with stress, anxiety and depression; further notes that this will free up an additional room that the Hub uses for community-led events and meetings, and will also allow it to renovate both rooms, and commends the Asda Foundation for awarding this grant to such a fantastic South Ayrshire-based organisation, which, it considers, does invaluable work within the community.
