Lodged by Clare Adamson (Scottish National Party) Standard Motion 20 supporters

The motion

That the Parliament acknowledges that the Clyde Walkway, which passes through Motherwell and Wishaw, has been shortlisted for Britain’s Favourite Path; understands that Ramblers UK and Cotswold Outdoor reached out to ramblers across the UK to nominate their favourite walks, with the Clyde Walkway being chosen as one of eight paths and the only one in Scotland by the panel; further understands that the awards highlight the important role that paths and the right of access to nature play in everyone’s lives by improving health and wellbeing; notes that the Clyde Walkway meanders some 40 miles through rural, industrial and urban Lanarkshire, through towns and countryside, passing churches, farms and spectacular views of Lanarkshire, and encourages everyone to participate in the vote on the UK Ramblers website.
