Strathclyde University Awarded EmilyTest GBV Charter

The motion

That the Parliament congratulates the University of Strathclyde on being awarded the EmilyTest GBV Charter for its work in tackling gender-based violence; welcomes EmilyTest’s work in educational establishments and its world first charter against violence against women and girls in education; understands the importance of the role that this plays in helping to prevent, intervene and respond to gender-based violence, in line with best practice; is encouraged by the one-to-one coaching, staff support, resources and sharing of good practice that comes with implementing its framework, and recognises what it sees as the socially progressive approach that the University of Strathclyde is taking to ensure that its campuses remain safe for all.
