Creative Recovery Inverclyde Shortlisted for Prestigious Regeneration Award
The motion
That the Parliament congratulates Creative Recovery Inverclyde on being shortlisted in the Creative Regeneration category of the prestigious 2024 SURF Awards for Best Practice in Community Regeneration, which identifies and celebrates best practice, innovation and achievement in interventions that improve Scottish communities; recognises that Creative Recovery Inverclyde is an arts initiative embedded within Your Voice’s Lived Experience Network, which supports individuals in Greenock and Inverclyde to recover from alcohol and drug misuse through participation in artistic activities, including film, sculpture, moving image, sound, writing, theatre and performance; notes that Creative Recovery Inverclyde works with a wide range of local partners such as the Beacon Arts Centre, Inverclyde Libraries and Rig Arts to help participants rebuild their lives while contributing to the broader regeneration of the region, and wishes Creative Recovery Inverclyde all the very best at the 2024 SURF Awards.
